Cider

Cider was written years ago, I thought of the main portion of the song and freestyled the rest in the studio. A big leap for me in terms of improvisational playing. Cider was a test run to see if I could promote a song properly. Turns out I can. This gave me much more confidence in my upcoming album, I began to write at much faster speeds. In fact I was so confident i announced Ochre would release before I even started writing it. However it worked out, because in my opinion Ochre is better than most the songs on the album.

The name cider was written before the song. First I think of creative names, and then I look at the names I've made until sounds start to play in my head. Its a poetic way of composing music and I'm blessed with this gift of creating songs from words.

To advertise Cider I placed up posters around my high school, on lockers, walls, in the cafeteria, wherever there existed foot traffic. I did my fair share online as well, constantly posting tik toks.

Cider was amazing nearly reaching 2,500 streams at the time of writing this.
